Gallaudet basketball semi finals

Gallaudet, as the top seed, was given a first
round bye, while scouting the outcome of
the Wells-Morrisville game. Morrisville won
and will face Gallauet.

Earlier in the season Morrisville defeated
Gallaudet, and so, there are two objectives -
to make amends for that defeat and to advance
to the championship finals on Sunday.

The Gallaudet-Morrisville game takes place
2 pm this afternoon.

Gallaudet softball drops season opener to Catholic

WASHINGTON – The Gallaudet University softball team opened up the 2017
season here Friday on an unusually hot February afternoon as they took on
nearby foe Catholic University of America in a non-conference
doubleheader. The Bison (0-2) were swept by the Cardinals (2-0) as GU fell
6-0 in the first game and 5-1 in the second game, which was cut short due
to lack of light after the sixth inning.

SB: Season Preview – New coach and new philosophy leads to high expectations for the Bison in 2017

WASHINGTON – The Gallaudet University softball team is approaching the
2017 season differently than they have approached seasons in the past.
After the team saw growth and improvement from the 2015 season to the 2016
season the Bison know that they are capable of winning. With six returning
players and nine rookies, first-year head coach Justen Burns believes his
new coaching philosophy will add to the success that the Bison saw last
season.

St Mary’s boys basketball

The boys finished in third place at the ESDAA Boys Basketball Division II
Tournament this past weekend hosted here at St. Mary’s.  Below is the
recap for the weekend.

ESDAA Game 1…..Friday 2/17

St. Mary’s vs West Virginia

The Bisons kicked off their ESDAA tournament by taking on the West
Virginia Lions.  The Herd took charge from the opening tipoff and led the
entire game.  The Bisons were the #2 seed and proved to be too much for
the #7 seed Lions.  The entire Herd saw playing time and managed to chip
in offensively.  Young Bison, Jonathan Allan came up from the grade school
team and saw action as well and was exposed to the ESDAA atmosphere .
Every regular season player(see box score below)managed to score in this
game. The Bisons went on to win 51-20.   The Bisons looked strong and
readied themselves to face a tough Pennsylvania team on Saturday night.

Game: St. Marys Deaf vs ESDAA/West Va. 51:20
