Rookie of the Week

2017 ECFC Weekly Release #1

Jack Gray – Gallaudet University
(Freshman, DB – Atherton, Calif.)

Gray had a hand in three turnovers on Saturday night, two of which led to
Gallaudet scores. In the first quarter, Gray tackled the ball carrier at
the two-yard line, causing a fumble out of the end zone for a touchback.
At the end of the game, Gray intercepted a Shenandoah pass in the red zone
and returned it nine yards. Gray finished with two forced fumbles, one
interception seven tackles, and one pass breakup.

NEAC Announces First Women’s Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Week
Selections of 2017

Darriyan Thomas (Vallejo, Calif.) from Gallaudet University has been
honored as the NEAC Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week as the
Bison’s weekend leader at the Battlefield Classic in Gettysburg, Pa.
Thomas started the season with an outstanding effort where she recorded 23
kills, 13 digs and five service aces in a 3-1 win over St. Mary’s (Md.).
The senior outside hitter had 58 kills, 49 digs, 11 service aces and four
blocks in four matches.
