Maryland football

MSD 42, Central Maryland Christian 0

Eric Long rushed for 197 yards on eight carries with two touchdowns for
Maryland School for the Deaf (2-0). Rory Lewis completed 4 of 7 passes for
19 yards and a touchdown.

The Orioles had 277 yard rushing.

John Werner Jr. led MSD’s defense with 13 tackles. He also had one
interception. Long also had an interception.

Oklahoma football

OSD drops Homecoming contest to Minnesota State School

The Indian squad, primarily consisting of underclassman, fought hard in
the contest, but the Minnesota State School for the Deaf Trojans proved to
be too much, beating OSD 40-12.

Wisconsin football

POWERS — More than 40 years had passed since Carney-Nadeau last played
in a home football game.

The Wolves were provided with that opportunity on this sunny and mild
Saturday afternoon as they hosted Superior Central in a Western Eight
Conference contest at North Central.

Superior Central, however, crashed the party by posting a 68-14 triumph.

What about it?  They play Wisconsin School for the Deaf this week.
Lets’ all of us hope that Wisconsin wins.

9-year old deaf racer able to get sponsors

we have a list of deaf automobile racers; almost all
of them struggle because of lack of sponsorship funds.

One deaf racer told DeafDigest Sports editor:

It costs me $2,000 per race (fuel, labor, parts, crew labor, etc)
