Florida girls’ basketball

Hackney Classic

We had a great trip to Alabama. On Friday morning, we were surprised to
see the snow. Believe it or not, our nine girls saw the snow for the first
time! They enjoyed every moment of it. Other than snow, our girls played
hard against all three Deaf
schools. We had our ups and downs in our defense and offense. We will
continue to practice hard and improve our defense and offense.

Florida boys’ basketball

We just got back from Talladega, Alabama playing in the Hackney Classic.
First off, let me say what a wonderful host Alabama School for the Deaf
was.  Thank You!

The snow blanketed ground greeted us Friday morning as we woke up.  It was
a pleasant surprise and it was the first time a few of our boys saw snow.

We played 3 games and were unable to muster up a victory.  Back to the
drawing board for us.  It was a great learning experience.  We will bounce
back from it and become a better team.

Dragons 56

Dragons 31

Season record: 3-4

Next game: 12/11 HOME vs Taylor- Pierson.  Tip-Off at 7:30.  MS Boys will
play at 5 and V Girls at 6 for a tripleheader.

pro golf

part of a golfing story

Kevin Hall, who is deaf, finished in a tie for 136th at the Web.Com Tour
Qualifying Tournament, which gives him conditional status in 2018

note:
condtional status is sort of same thing as being put on a waiting list
