part of web posting

From 2015-16, Moten served as assistant coach at Division III Gallaudet

Temecula freshman commits to powerhouse PAC 12 school

TEMECULA – Holly Hunter, a freshman at Great Oak High School, has had an
exciting soccer year from being called into the U.S. Girls National Camp,
to playing for the U.S. Deaf Women’s National Team. Hunter, who is
completely deaf and uses cochlear implants to hear, waited until the
Easter holiday to share with her family and post on social media that she
has verbally committed to play soccer in the top powerhouse conference,
the PAC 12, for University of Colorado.

She said:
I am so excited and thankful to announce I have verbally committed to
play D1 soccer, and further my education at University of Colorado in the
PAC 12!

The University of California Los Angeles, Stanford University, Santa Clara
University and Oregon State University were also on her list, but after
going on an unofficial visit, the University of Colorado quickly moved
into the No. 1 spot.

She also said:
I decided to commit to University of Colorado in the PAC 12, because I
wanted to play in one of the top soccer conferences in the nation.
Colorado has an amazing soccer program that is looking to win the PAC 12
championships and NCAA National Championships,” Hunter said. “I hope that
I can help contribute to making that goal a reality.

comment:
Is it a good idea for a high school freshman to commit to a college
that she would attend four years later? Many things change in the life of
teenage athletes. All coaches know that.
