random deafsports thoughts

Years ago, schools opened after Labor Day and the
high school football season would start in mid-September
and end around mid-November.

Schools open earlier, around mid-August, but certainly
before the Labor Day. This is the hurricane season.
As a result there has been a number of football games
either cancelled or postponced due to inclement
weather.

A combination of changing earth climate and earlier
schools opening wrecking havoc with early season
football games – not just deaf, but also hearing!

………………………………………

a lost hearing aid

A player caught a pass in a high school game in
Massachussets last night. He was hit hard and
his hearing aid fell off and was lost!

The game was stopped as players from both teams
and volunteer fans went on the field to look
for the hearing aid.

It couldn’t be found and the referees agreed
to switch the field so the lost hearing aid
would not be trampled in the game action.

During the half time, the hearing aid was found!

Hearing aids (and CI’s) and football do not mix?????
