Fremont fall sports

CSD enters a week where we will have all road games against some of our
toughest opponent this year.  The Volleyball team will play two road games
and then participate in the Berkeley High School Invitational on Saturday,
hosted by one of the best team in all of Northern Coast Section along with
20 other big schools.  The Football and Cheerleading team will head to San
Francisco to play the big boys of Burton High School on Friday afternoon
in the battle of the two undefeated teams.

Athlete of the Week – Chloe Harmount.  Our sophomore do-it-all player has
impressed her coaches and the Athletic Department by her determination and
desire to become a better player.  She has been very willing to float
between the JV and Varsity team and change positions to help the team.
Her positive spirit, energy, and hustle is always felt in the gym every
day!

random deafsports thoughts

those that follow the NFL pretty much know that
Oakland coach Jon Gruden made a big blunder by
trading best defensive player Khalil Mack to
the Chicago Bears.

Years ago, a Gallaudet football coach, who lacked
patience with freshmen football players that
lacked ASL skills, cut a pretty good football
player. He was tough and aggressive, and did
not back down during drills and scrimmages,
yet was cut. The very shocked freshman then
went out for the wrestling team, even though
he never wrestled in his life. He became a
campus sensation because of his wrestling
skills. Not giving up on football, he
came out for the team the following season,
and became a four season starter at running back.

In other words, the player that is cut may come
back to haunt the coach!
