Fremont sports

LAST WEEK –

It was a strange week as we only had one game all week, an away JV and
Varsity Volleyball Game at Holy Names in which we lost.  We tried to save
our Homecoming
twice after the power shutout scare and then our student-athletes were
prepared to return to campus to play Riverside until they couldn’t come
here.  We have tried
our best in postponing the game or going to Riverside but this was not
possible.  We will move on from this and look forward towards having a
better week!

THIS WEEK –

We have an away game on Tuesday for JV and Varsity Volleyball.  On
Thursday, we will celebrate our homecoming games with our other longtime
rivals –  Volleyball
against Emery and then and Cheerleading Football against Harker!  Cross
Country has a meet at Hayward High School on Saturday.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK –

LEONARDO VERGARA – Our senior all-around player on the football team and
runner on the cross country team has had a great stretch lately.  The
other week after a
top finish at Oregon, Leo ran at the Cross Country make-up league meet on
Wednesday, played football on Thursday, then ran at another meet on
Saturday!  Last week,
Leo did not run or play at all as the Big Games was cancelled but he
provided improved leadership to the teams.

Volleyball season has ended for some schools. Already
their coaches have been asked to submit their
All-American nominations – because they have
faithfully reported their scores to DeafDigest
