Gallaudet women’s basketball

DeafDigest Sports dedicates this edition to Ben Baylor,
a past long time assistant women’s basketball coach.

He departed us.

He served head coach Kitty Baldridge for many years
with the women’s teams – and of course, the highlight
of his career was the season the women became the
NCAA-III Sweet Sixteen team. When not coaching basketball
he was the equipment manager with the Gallaudet physical
education department, and hence a well known figure in the
Field House.

random deafsports talk

a group of 76 American deaf winter athletes will
represent USA at the upcoming Winter Deaflympics.

Will DeafDigest Sports maintain updates on our
performances at the Deaflympics?

All depends. If no one sends DeafDigest Sports
these winter updates – or if no newspapers
run such stories, then sorry, there may not
be updates – again, just all depends!

Some sports are great with updates; other
sports, not so great with updates.
