NCS BASKETBALL – CSD Boys had two thrilling games in the first two rounds
of the NCS Playoffs, the first being a 77-70 win over Valley Christian
Dublin and then a
57-56 win over Jewish Community in overtime.  We will be hosting the NCS
Semifinals on Wednesday against South Fork, a very fine Athletics Program
that has emerged
as our new divisional rival lately.  Please come and support us!

TRACK AND FIELD – Nine players had a very early start with a meet in
February out in the nice weather at the Pittsburg Relays.  Next week, we
will be busy with the
Baseball and Softball opener along with the first League Track Meet.

NMSD Girls’ Varsity Basketball season ended last night. We lost to
Walatowa
with a final score of 30-65. We had a slow start, and we started to score
baskets in the fourth quarter. It was too late for us to catch up. Our top
scorers of tonight include Victoria Baca with 12 points, 2 assists, and 5
rebounds. Mya Malone had 14 points, 11 rebounds and 2 blocks. Martina
Rodarte-Estrada made 2 points, 3 assists and 1 steals, Emily Begay made 2
points. We are very proud of our players for all they have accomplished
this
season. We all want to thank you for your constant support throughout the
2019-2020 season.

St Mary’s girls basketball

The Lady Bisons wrapped up their 2019-20 season this little evening.  They
lost 49-6 in the  IAC league semifinals to New Life Christian.  New Life
was too much to
handle and the Lady Bisons struggled breaking pressure.  Kioney Alvira
Jurado had all 6 points for the Lady Bisons.  Thanks for all the support
this year.  We would
like to wish our seniors (Elise Watson and Cami Cole) luck in their future
beyond basketball.

Overall Record….5-11…IAC 2-5…Deaf Schools ….3-3.

random DeafSports thoughts

DeafDigest Sports editor is now following up
on schools that have been invited but not
yet responded to Deaf All-American
basketball nominations. For some reason
there are always some invited schools that
just don’t respond at all.
