With regrets, I am sorry to inform you that we must cancel our High School
girls’ volleyball season. We didn’t have enough girls to participate for
our 2021-2022 volleyball team. I am hopeful that we will try again next
fall and have a team.

Without a football team in 2021, Iowa School for the deaf athletes will be
looking to cross country as a competitive outlet and to stay in shape this
fall.

Kearny Ray, Scottsdale Cicero Prep, Superior, Tempe Prep, and Winkelman
Hayden in the East Region; Anthem Prep, Bagdad, Bullhead City Mohave
Accelerated, Glendale Desert Heights, Phoenix Day School for the Deaf,
Salome, and Wittmann Mountainside in the West Region; and Colorado City El
Capitan, Fredonia, Heber Mogollon, Joseph City, Mayer, and Williams in the
North Region.

Let you know that TSD and CSDR game is cancelled due
to covid 19. TSD’s supt feel it is wise not flying
to California with high number of covid cases in Texas
right now.

Both TSD and CSDR coaches and players are disappointed
about this but understood about being safe.

IPC along with multiple international organisations launch ‘Wethe15’ ahead
of Tokyo Paralympic Games

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) along with multiple leading
international organisations have united to launch ‘WeThe15’ on Thursday
ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games, which aspires to be the biggest
ever human rights movement to represent the world’s 1.2 billion persons
with disabilities.

The IPC, Special Olympics, Invictus Games Foundation, and the International
Committee of Sports for the Deaf (Deaflympics) have teamed up for the
first time in history. The four organisations will use the profile of
their international sports events and athlete communities to further raise
awareness and understanding of the issues facing persons with disabilities
around the globe.

P.S.
It has been announced that the @deaflympics will now be held in same
facilities as the Rio 2016 Olympics, from Nov 6-20th, 2022.

The event which was put together by Undefeated Nigerian boxer, Gifted Cole
Chiori at the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) field in Festac City saw the
instant fan favourite Segun win his fight 3-0 to place third in the
overall standing.
