Varsity Volleyball Results – 8/26/21

8/26/21: FSDB at Warner Christian Academy

Lady Dragons Volleyball finishes Eagles in five games.

The Lady Dragons had their first match of the season in 2021! They played
at the Warner Christian Academy. The Lady Dragons won their first game
against the Eagles,
25-23. However, our girls fell to the Eagles in the second and third
games, 19-25 and 17-25. We made bad serves, and we made some silly mental
mistakes. The girls
did not give up. They knew they had to play two more games because they
truly wanted the win after a long year without any competitive season!

Following the loss of the two games, our girls recovered to come back and
win the fourth game, 25-18. Our girls were down at the beginning of the
match, but they
stayed together! They played hard with a positive attitude to earn each
set. They made some beautiful passing and hitting! In the final game, our
girls were on
fire. Cassidy served 13 straights, and we led to the match with a score of
15-7.

After the game, I see our girls as ONE TEAM. I also see them as ONE
DRAGON. They have played with their hearts on the court! They have made me
feel so proud! Be
sure to give them big congratulations!!

random deafsports thoughts

It was said that first sports club for the hearing impaired
already existed in Berlin in 1888

Really? Without additional research, DeafDigest Sports will not
accept it as a fact. There have been early years deaf sports clubs
in Great Britain in the 19th century. And recently a deaf resident
of Boston was arguing with a disbelieving DeafDigest Sports editor
that his club was the nation’s oldest deaf sports club. He continued
to argue and got angrier and angrier when DeafDigest Sports expressed
his doubts!

If it means anything, then the Gallaudet football team played its
first game in 1883, five years earlier – playing three games
that season.

note:
it is Jonathan Breuer.

he has requested interpreters for clinics he
was required to attend. After being repeatedly
turned down, he then filed a lawsuit.

That was few years ago. Don’t know what happened since then
