Lexington boys’ basketball

Lexington 25 Lowell 37

Flushing, N. Y. – Lexington lost its two starters in 1st quarter to
injures. It was a bitter game for the Bluejays as we used our reserves
players in the majority of the game and still were able to chip off one
point after halftime. We missed so many shots that should have been scored
easily. Game did not go our way as well. Our defense was stellar again as
Lowell had three guys taller than any of our players. Our players stole a
lot from them as we played smart defense in this game. Our offense did
move but could not get shots into the baskets. If our players were not
injured we would have taken this game easily.. That is why it is a BITTER
game for us.

Stats Leaders:
Points: Timar Harris (9)
Rebounds: Aaron Laikram (7)
Assists: Timar Harris (2)
Blocked Shots: Steve Salmon (1)
Steals: John Rochester (7), Jaime Pavia Cruz (6) and Timar Harris (5)

Box Score:

Lexington:         5    5   10  5 = 25
Lowell:              10  13   8   6 = 37

SEASON RECORD: 7-12 (Metro League: 1-4) Since Metro League removed Martin
De Porres from the league so we take out a loss for the league. Final
league game for the season as we finished 1-4.

Next Game: Saturday, February 18th VS Model (MSSD) at 4:00 PM. (Senior
Night)
