Fremont sports

Hi all, we have our baseball senior night tonight, come and root for us at
4pm.  The big event this week is the League Track Championships at Kezar
Stadium in San Francisco on Saturday.

Athlete of the Week – ASHLEY LOCATELLI.  The sophomore infielder filled in
at third base at the softball game last Wednesday and made several good
plays.  Then as one of our few dual-sport athlete, Ashley went with the
track team to the BCL Meet #3 the next day and came in second place in the
discus with a 80’5″ improving her mark by three inches.  Ashley is also
easy going and a pleasant to have on both teams.

LADY GHOSTS SOFTBALL GAME RESULT VS. WOODWARD SCHOOL

MPS Lady Ghosts softball team lost Monday’s home conference game against
Woodward School by a score of 20-2, under this cooler weather. Our team
handled it very well with their “game on” skills.

Our Lady Ghosts had made a much better progress on defense and batting
skills. I have to say this, our team MPS Lady Ghost played magnificently
well tonight!

Game Highlight:

Edlanda made a beautiful catch in second base area. She ran and jumped,
caught the ball! She barely caught it. Also, Edlanda got her first triple
of this season.

Shayla hit her first home run for the season. Kayla pitched four struck
out in her pitching effort.

Final score: Woodward 20 – 2 MPS.

Roster:

# 31 Edlanda Delorme: 1-2, triple

# 9 Zora Elliott-Mendelsohn: 0-2 and one walk

# 3 Samantha Fernsebner: 0-3

# 20 Heather Hall: 0-3

#15 Kayla LoBrutto: 0-3

# 33 Shayla Rochette: 3-3, home run

# 34 Sabrina Rodgrigues: 2-3

# 2 Belinda “Bebe” Toledo: 0-2

Next game: May 9th at 4 pm
