MSD’s Anderson welcome addition to FSK Legion team

Maryland School for the Deaf pitcher Stefan Anderson wanted to keep
playing baseball the rest of the summer. He didn’t want his season to
end with the Orioles’ spring season.

So when Frederick’s Francis Scott Key Post 11 American Legion Baseball
team announced tryouts on a bulletin board at McCurdy Field earlier this
spring, Anderson saw it and was quick to sign up.

MSAD

Kyrell Cummings will have a busy week representing the Minnesota State
Academy for the Deaf team, as he’s in four events for sections.

Cummings advanced to sections in the triple and long jumps again.
He’s the No. 6 seed in the long jump at 19-09, but has jumped 20

feet his season. Cummings has the No. 2 mark in the triple jump at
42-06, which is 11 inches off state standard. He’ll have to
watch out for BA’s Hunt as well, who has jumped above 42-05 a
couple times this season, even if his seed mark was below
that.

Cummings is the third seed in the 110 hurdles at 16.76.
He’s sixth in the 300 hurdles in 43.13.
