Florida boys’ basketball

Dragons 64
Halifax (Daytona Beach) 58

Halftime score: FSDB 34-32 Halifax

What a great season opening win, especially on our home court.   It was a
wildly entertaining back-n-forth basketball game, for the fans at least.
As for the coaches, we probably lost more hair follicles than we would
have liked.  A lot of “first game
of the season” stuff happened.  But there were a lot of good things, too.
What you won’t see below in the stats are the glue plays by Wallace and
Quintin.  They kept our team composed and their teammates in the right
place.

Points: Yahir Rodriguez 16, Enow Otto 16, Samy Vital 12, Cody Newsome 9,
Wallace Burrell 5, Quintin Galpine 4, Josiah Roberson 2.

Season record: 1-0

Next game: 11/29 at Taylor Pierson.  MS game at 5, V at 7:30 with the
Girls V team playing at 6.

and 8 steals. Our other player Lourdine led 11 rebounds with 16 points and
3 steals. Ja’Myra had 3
points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Samantha had 3 steals and 3 rebounds.

1-1 record
