St Mary’s girls track

yesterday.  We competed against the Maritime Charter School and the
Stanley G. Falk School. Despite the wet and cold weather, the Lady Bisons
put their best foot forward.  We had some veterans such as Cameron Cole
and Kioney Alvira Juardo who stepped up in some unfamiliar events and some
rookies (Aleyshka Rivera Nieves & Tatyana Bean) who were able to make an
immediate impact despite the lack of experience.  The Lady Bisons won the
meet and it should help with our confidence as we prepare for big ESDAA
tournament in a few weeks.  Congrats to the Lady Bisons.

Texas baseball

from a tweet

Hill Country Chr varsity #baseball (14-9) lost to Texas School for the
Deaf (6-13) 21-11 F/6

note:
is it an upset if a 6-13 team defeats a 14-9 team unless the hearing
opponents won their games against much weaker opposition?

Western Pennsylvania soccer

remembering these soccer championships

playing in torrential rain in 2016…    we have no choice but to play on
We do not want to cancel the ESDAA Tourney…   even the officials felt that
we should cancel but we want to play on…   as a result, we won the title
(and the National Champions)…   This past year, playing in a nice
sunshiney weather, we successfully defended our title so we can “boast”
that no matter what the weather is, we’ll take it (and we went on to win
the first game of the the hearing invitational tournament in inclement
weather and then won in a shoot-out format the following day at Highmark
Stadium)   these memories are etched in my mind.

semi pro soccer

Former Gallaudet soccer player Noel Rodriguez will play
semi pro soccer in Texas for a new team in a new league.
Season starts in two weeks.

Asia-Pacific Deaf Women’s soccer scores

Japan 15 ~ Nepal 0

note:
there are other soccer scores in that tournament,
but this score was the only one that was posted
on the social media

………………………………………….

college softball player

there was a big story in the newspapers about
Kayla Finacchiaro, a deaf softball pitcher
who was kicked off the team at Newbury College.
She is filing a lawsuit accusing the coach
of kicking off the team because of her deafness!

college softball player

there was a big story in the newspapers about
