Gallaudet’s Hannah Neild named NEAC Softball Rookie of the Year

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) released

Neild is second in NCAA Division II for triples (8) and third in triples

New Mexico track

part of newspaper story

GOING FOR GOLD: In the small school state championships held today and
Saturday at the University of New Mexico Track and Soccer Complex, local
athletes … 1A boys: Ryan Johnson, Roy, shot put, 40-07.25; Deven
Thompson, New Mexico School for the Deaf, shot put, 47-6; Gabriel Garcia,
Springer, javelin, 158-9.

also another newspaper story

Not to be left out is Thompson, the 6-9 junior at New Mexico School for
the Deaf. The 2017 defending discus champion is the second seed in that
event (137-51/2) and the top seed in the shot put at 47-6. If the seeds
hold to form, Thompson would flip-flop his finishes from last year’s
state meet.

St Mary’s girls track

The Lady Bisons competed in a 4 team meet yesterday between our rival
Rochester School for the Deaf, Falk, and newcomer the GOW school.  Overall
it was a good showing by our team.  We dominated the field events with
help from Kioney Alvira-Juardo and Cameron Cole who both PR’d.
Unfortunately we fell behind to the RSD Wildcats in the majority of the
running events and it ended up costing our girls the overall victory.
Although we struggled to score more points , we saw a lot of hard work and
improvement from many of our athletes including Kearah Kelly and Aleyshka
Rivera-Nieves.  We have one more tune-up meet next week Wednesday before
we compete in the annual ESDAA Track and Field championships in Fredrick,
Maryland next weekend.  If you haven’t seen us compete, we would love your
support next week before we close out our season.

He was listed as injured.

No updates on him since then. No idea if he is still
actively playing or has hung up his cleats.
