November 28 vs Taylor Pierson

Score: FSDB 26, Taylor Pierson 13

Tonight, not at our best, we won the game 26 to 13.  Off to a sluggish
start, we managed to start playing better. Both Lourdine and Olivia had 8
points. In the first quarter, we held them to 2 points. Taylor Pierce’s
best player scored 9 points by
herself while others were unable to score, thanks to our stingy defense.
We will play tonight against First Coast Christian at 6 PM.

Our varsity boys basketball team traveled up to Danvers, MA to play
against CCA for our first regular game. CCA has pretty good sizes and
talents. We came to play hard on them even though we led in first early
minutes then CCA finally came back in the game to break up our lead. They
lead at the most. We fought all the way to the end. I was pleased the
effort of our boys in the game. Turnovers and second chance of opponents
team rebound killed us at the second half.

Hope we learn from this game and get a better game next time.

First half: CCA 28, MPS 22.

Stats:

Kacey Monahan, SR with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks

Kyle Florio, FR with 9 points,  4 assists.

Our next game vs. RISD this Saturday at Emmanuel College at 6pm for annual

random deafsports thoughts

That Texas boys were able to play basketball
with just a few days of practice, because of
the continuing football playoffs, is amazing.
