What is the role of Deaf Basketball Camps?

Is it to teach ALL campers how to play basketball
better?

or

Is it for the Camp management to pick the best
players among the campers to form an all-camp
team to play games against other hearing basketball
camps? And to ignore the basketball needs of
lesser-talented deaf campers?

This was the accusation several angry deaf schools basketball
coaches shared with DeafDigest Sports editor.

Needless to say, the DeafDigest Sports editor was
shocked.
