Gallaudet football

Adham Taalat, a fierce deafensive lineman who
led Gallaudet to the NCAA-III playoffs few
years ago and had tryouts with three different
NFL teams, is the strength coach of DC Divas,
one of the nation’s leading women’s pro football
teams.

Oklahoma Warriors’ women’s minor league basketball

Rounding out the roster is Saranna Fewel, a 5-5 forward
who played at Oklahoma School for the Deaf.

a surpise Ninja Warrior competitor

it is Tamika Catchings who is deaf and will be
competing in Ninja Warrior TV series

She is a retired women’s professional basketball
player.

Austin deaf basketball

won the National Deaf Basketball Organization
championship, defeating City Monsters (Ohio)
71-66 last weekend.

It was their second championship in four seasons.

This season, team went 14-2, which included three
championships – (Spartans Invitational, SWBAD, and NBDO)
plus a 4th place finish at the USADB Men’s Division I.

We have Melvin Chriss, Ty Hubbard, Martel VanZant,
Darius Cooper, David Valverde Jr, Danny Blalock,
Austin Kimbrough, and a CODA, Chris Hyche.
Chris is current playing for Harlem Globetrotters.

NDBO allows one CODA player per team. I played myself too.
If Dwight Brewington played we would have been
undefeated 16-0 instead of 14-2.

We lost to Indy Hawks in overtime and Frederick Boys.

Macam Macam was played overseas in El Salvador and FC
Barcelona Lassa (Spain).  He is 7 foot tall.

triathlete hoping to become a pro

A deaf triathlete has plans to turn professional after he impressed at the
European Triathlon Championships earlier this month.

Oliver Pritchard, 22, finished 11th out of 23 in the 20-24 category and in
the top quarter of males at the event in Weert, Netherlands, alongside
some of the world’s elite triathletes.

He is from Great Britain.

After leading the Argyle girls basketball team to its fifth consecutive
Class 4A state championship, Rhyle McKinney announced on Twitter on
Thursday that she has committed to SMU.

She is deaf.
