What a VICTORY!  For the past four years in a row, we lost to Victory Christian
at their home.  FINALLY we beat them!  Our girls showed pride, faith, and
confidence! We will working on our mental preparation. Junior Victoria Baca had
13 serve aces and 13 kills and our captain, Senior Mya Malone had 15 serve aces
and 9 kills.  Our setter, Sophomore Sophia Martinez, made 12 assists. We are
looking forward to play against Vaughn tomorrow and it’s our first home game for
the volleyball season.  COME and root for our girls!

Next game: 9/5-Thursday @ 5 pm Vaughn vs NMSD @ Larson gym

Phoenix’ running back Brian Lynch ran for seven touchdowns.

PDSD had a 20 point lead.

With a score of 48-46 in favor of PDSD with one minute remaining, MSD
moved to PDSD 35 yard line and was stopped on 4th down. PDSD took over
and ran out the clock to win.

FOREST of Arden Marriot Hotel & Country Club in Coventry will host the
2020 World Deaf Golf Championships. (Great Britain)

The nine-day event, from Friday August 7 to Saturday August 15, will
involve more than 120 golfers from 21 nations, in the 25th anniversary
year of the championships.

Simeon Hart, president of the World Deaf Golf Federation, believes next
year’s tournament has the potential to be a landmark moment for the sport.

“The World Deaf Golf Championships is the second most important golf
competition after the Deaflympics and it continues to grow with new
players and new countries getting involved,” he said.
