postings of fake football scores on maxpreps

Maxpreps posted the results of the Louisiana-South
Carolina football game as this:

South Carolina 50
Louisiana 0

no such football game took place this past weekend
between both teams. Hurricane Dorian forced the
cancellation of the game; students at South
Carolina had to go home as school was closed.

Few weeks ago, Indiana was scheduled to play
against Traders Point. The game was cancelled
as Indiana did not have enough players that
were certified to play by physicians.

DeafDigest Sports editor was aware of it
as a source informed him about it.

Yet Maxpreps posted this score as this:

Traders Point 56
Indiana 8

This is interesting because maxpreps does not allow
non-authorized people to post up the results.
Hackers getting wise into it and finding a
way around?  Do not know.

If a posted football score looks suspicious,
it probably is!

Alabama football

part of newspaper story

Shoals Christian (0-3, 0-1) at Ala. School for the Deaf (0-1)

The skinny: Through three weeks, each final score for Shoals Christian has
been less pleasant than the previous one. Expect that trend to change for
the better this week in Talladega. … Shoals Christian visits Alabama
School for the Deaf, one of two teams the Flame beat last fall. … Alabama
School for the Deaf has traditionally played a mix of in-state and
out-of-state teams, and its only game so far is a 45-7 loss to Valley
Head. … This is a good opportunity for the Flame to get Win No. 1 under
Kelly Rushing and build needed confidence.

TimesDaily pick: Shoals Christian

Colorado football

coming off two wins, was looking forward to a game with
Mazanola.

Instead, the game is a forfeit win for Mazanola.

Colorado lost four players for the game; two were
ejected from the last game and couldn’t play
against Mazanola. Additonally two players got
hurt playing recreation basketball during lunch
hour and could not play in the Mazanola game.

2-1 record

Indiana football

part of newspaper story

North Central (0-3) at Indiana Deaf (0-0) — North Central avoided an open
week by adding Indiana Deaf to the schedule.

The Deaf Hoosiers will be playing their first game of the year when the
Thunderbirds are looking for their first win.

“This just came up at the last minute,” said North Central coach Brad
Hudson. “We were happy about having the chance to play a game instead of
having a bye week.”

North Central has managed just 14 points in 12 quarters this season.

Indiana volleyball

part of newspaper story

Missouri School for the Deaf volleyball team travelled to Oklahoma School
for the Deaf on 9/11 and played hard. We might didn’t win the match but the

Cristin Kohl, JR leads with four serves. Myia Dandle, FR. helped the team
with three serve. We will travel CIS on Tuesday 9/17 and play at 6 pm.

Record 0-2

New Mexico football

was able to find a last minute opponent in
Tse’ Yi’ Gai High School for the Homecoming Day game
to replace Iowa which couldn’t play because of
injuries.

Tse’ Yi’ Gai?  This school is a member of the
New Mexico high school athletic association
and has already scheduled 4 football games
this season, with New Mexico as the 5th
opponent.

Said happy athletic director Letty Perez:

I  am so HAPPY that Tse’ Yi’ Gai football team will play us
this Saturday at 2:00 pm.  I wanted to say MANY Thanks to
Tse’ Yi’ Gai Athletic Director, Candace Sandoval!

Note:
DeafDigest Sports editor has never heard of
the Tse’ Yi’ Gai School. Apparently it is a new
school with its’ own newly formed football team.

When will the early season deaf football drama
end? We just want to watch football games, rooting
for our teams to win – without all this drama
on the side!
