5-6 record

Tonight wasn’t pretty, at all.  Christ’s Church is ranked 80th in state
and we are ranked 508th. They were just the better team, by far.  The
first game, the girls barely played.  However, the 2nd and 3rd set there
were some good rallies that took place.  The girls never gave up.
Christ’s Church is a part of our District, which is why we played them.

Our next game is our Dig Pink game against Eagle’s View on Monday,
September 30

random deafsports talk

Can deaf sports in old days be compared to deaf sports
nowadays?

Don’t know. In the old days high school eligibility
rules were lax, meaning 20 year old and 21 year old
men could compete against 14 year old and 15 year
old boys.

Unfair? Yes, but that was what high school sports
was all about in these days.

Not any more – meaning sort of a level playing
field for all.
